Zvi Zagagi - Sculptor

Zvi was born in Jerusalem, 1937. After graduating high school in Jerusalem Zvi enlisted and
served in the "Nachal brigades. Gained his B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering from the Technion Haifa Institute of Technology, in 1963, since then he was employed as a design engineer in various industries in Israel.

Zvi is married to Rina, father of Merav and Michal and grandfather of Noa, Ronnie and Ori.

Zvi began sculpting in 1989, using steel and stainless steel as raw materials, usually based or integrated with stone or marble. His technique is beating and welding to form the sculptures, thus, unlike mould casting sculpturing, where few identical pieces may be produced, the sculptures are unique: each piece is hand made
